Jens Walvoort shows determination in Dutch GP

BTS Racing’s Jens Walvoort demonstrated his perseverance during the Dutch Grand Prix in Arnhem. Walvoort had been ill throughout the week and was forced to dig deep on the demanding sand circuit.

Despite not feeling fully fit, Walvoort managed to finish qualifying day on a positive note. After setting the sixteenth fastest time in time practice, he rode to a tenth-place finish in the qualifying heat, earning a valuable point.

In Sunday’s first moto, Walvoort got off to a strong start and held ninth position for a long stretch. Just before the halfway mark he dropped back to eleventh but continued to fight hard. Even as breathing became more difficult, he held on to eleventh place until the closing stages, but eventually lost one more spot and crossed the finish line exhausted in twelfth.

A very good start in the second moto once again put him in a strong position. However, a crash in the opening lap pushed him back to the rear of the field. Walvoort began a charge through the pack and worked his way up to thirteenth place. Unfortunately, a mechanical problem then forced him to retire from the race.

With zero points from the second moto, Walvoort had to settle for sixteenth overall on the day. In the World Championship standings, he remains in twentieth position. The series continues on the weekend of September 6-7 in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey.

Jens Walvoort shows strong speed at MXGP of Sweden

Jens Walvoort of BTS Racing demonstrated solid speed during the sixteenth round of the MX2 World Championship in Uddevalla, Sweden.

The Uddevalla track had been modified in several sections compared to previous years and was hard and treacherous. Deep ruts formed quickly, demanding full concentration from the riders.

On Saturday, Walvoort showed progress throughout the day. After setting the fifteenth fastest time in time practice, he qualified twel
fth in the qualifying heat for Sunday’s races.

A strong start in the first moto put him inside the top ten after the opening lap. He managed to hold his ground in the early stages, but after losing a few positions he was still circulating around the top ten when a mechanical issue forced him to retire from the race.

Determined to bounce back, Walvoort lined up for the second moto with renewed focus. He rode an excellent first half of the race and was holding eleventh place.

Unfortunately, he suffered a heavy crash but refused to give up. Despite losing his goggles in the fall and having to continue with a damaged valve, he fought his way back to sixteenth position, earning five valuable championship points.

With a DNF in the first moto, Walvoort had to settle for nineteenth overall in the day’s classification. Next weekend, BTS Racing will compete in their home Grand Prix in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

Jens Walvoort Takes Strong Seventh Place at MXGP of Lommel

Jens Walvoort of BTS Racing delivered an impressive performance at the Grand Prix of Belgium, finishing seventh overall in Lommel.

Walvoort showed solid pace throughout the entire weekend. After setting the 13th fastest time in time practice, he already managed to score a point in Saturday’s qualifying heat by finishing in 10th place.

Sunday’s motos saw even stronger performances. By then, the Lommel track had become extremely rough and demanding. In the first moto, despite a mediocre start, Walvoort fought his way forward. From 14th position, he broke into the top ten by the third lap and continued to push. His efforts were rewarded with a strong eighth-place finish, boosting his confidence heading into race two.

In the second moto, Walvoort got off to a better start and completed the opening lap in ninth place. He rode a consistent race, maintaining his position around ninth throughout. At one point he moved into eighth, but had to surrender the spot later and crossed the line in ninth.

With 8-9 finishes in the two motos, Walvoort secured a solid seventh overall in the day’s classification. The FIM Motocross World Championship continues in two weeks at the hardpack circuit of Uddevalla, Sweden.

Jens Walvoort Delivers Strong Performance at Czech Grand Prix

Jens Walvoort of BTS Racing delivered a strong performance at the Czech Grand Prix. On the technical track of Loket, Walvoort finished fourteenth and twelfth in the motos, earning him thirteenth overall in the day’s standings.
On Saturday, Walvoort already showed promising speed. The track was still dry during the time practice, allowing for high pace. Walvoort made several attempts to clock a fast lap and ended up with the thirteenth fastest time. After time practice, rain set in, transforming the circuit into a slippery, muddy track. Walvoort performed well in the qualifying heat. Starting outside the top ten, he made a solid comeback to ninth place, earning two championship points.
The conditions improved significantly for Sunday’s motos. In the first race, Walvoort got off to a good start, launching just outside the top ten. With a strong rhythm, he held his position for most of the race. Only in the second half did he have to give up a few places, ultimately finishing in a respectable fourteenth position.
In the second moto, Walvoort rode consistently. Once again starting just outside the top ten, he maintained his position throughout the race, finishing in a solid twelfth place.
With these results, Walvoort secured thirteenth overall for the day — an impressive achievement for the Dutchman on such a challenging circuit. Next weekend, Walvoort will line up for the Belgian Grand Prix in Lommel.

Jens Walvoort Secures Top Ten Finish in MX2 Grand Prix in Finland

On Saturday, Walvoort already showed strong potential on the newly built Kymiring circuit. As the day progressed, he found his rhythm on the sandy surface and qualified in twelfth place for the main event.

A great start in the opening moto saw Walvoort riding inside the top five early on. Unfortunately, a crash set him back significantly. Despite the setback, he launched a strong comeback and managed to salvage a respectable fifteenth place.

In the second moto, Walvoort bounced back impressively. Starting from twelfth, he steadily moved up to tenth place and held that position all the way to the finish line.

Jens Walvoort Returns to the MX2 World Championship with Two Points in England

Jens Walvoort of BTS Racing managed to score two points during his return to the MX2 World Championship at the British round in Matterley Basin.

The week before the Grand Prix of Spain, Walvoort suffered a crash during training, resulting in a torn muscle in his upper leg and fractures in two cervical vertebrae (C6 and C7). He took the time to recover properly, but the injury kept him out of competition for around three months. This past weekend, he made his comeback during the twelfth round of the World Championship at Matterley Basin in the UK.

Naturally, Walvoort was lacking race rhythm, but he improved steadily with each session. After setting the 20th fastest time in time practice, he qualified 19th for the races. On Sunday, the track was initially hard and slippery, but conditions improved significantly by race time. In the first moto, Walvoort moved up from 19th to 17th place, but unfortunately crashed with a few laps to go and finished outside the points.

In the second moto, he came out of the first lap in 23rd position and began a charge through the field. By the middle of the race, he was inside the points and managed to hold his ground, finishing the moto in 19th place.

From here, Walvoort will continue to build toward the next Grand Prix. There is now some time to prepare, as the next round is scheduled for the weekend of July 12–13 in Finland.

Despite this, he pushed hard and managed to set the sixteenth-fastest time in Saturday’s qualifying and finished the qualification heat in thirteenth.

Oliver and the team did everything they could to improve their feeling on the track, but things didn’t go smoothly during Sunday’s races either. Nevertheless, Oliver persevered and secured a twelfth and thirteenth-place finish in the heats.

Top Ten Finish for Oriol Oliver in Home Grand Prix in Spain

Oriol Oliver from BTS Racing secured a top ten finish in his home Grand Prix in Spain. Oliver finished ninth in the second race after losing his chances for a top ten result in the first race due to a crash, which left him in fourteenth place.

The weekend started with a setback for the team. Jens Walvoort crashed the week before the race and sustained a muscle tear in his leg, along with a painful shoulder and back. Walvoort attempted to ride in practice, but the pain was too severe, and he decided not to participate further in the weekend’s events.

Oliver showed a good improvement on Saturday. After qualifying twelfth in the time training, he had a strong showing in the qualification heat and finished in a solid seventh place.

A good start in the first race allowed him to come out of the first lap in seventh place. In the early stages, he managed to hold his position well, but after a few laps, he fell in the tricky conditions and dropped back to fifteenth. Oliver recovered well and fought his way back to thirteenth. Unfortunately, he had to give up this position in the final stages and finished fourteenth.

In the second race, Oliver made a strong comeback. His start wasn’t great, so he had to work his way forward from outside the top ten. After three laps, he entered the top ten and then pushed through to eighth place in the following laps. In the final stages, he lost that position but finished a respectable ninth.

In the overall standings for the day, Oliver placed eleventh, and in the championship standings, he is now in fourteenth place. The championship continues next weekend in St. Jean d’Angely, France.
